Terms of use

These terms govern the use of the MacroDash application. By creating an account or using the app, you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
This English text is a translation provided for convenience. The binding version is the Spanish one; if the two differ, the Spanish version prevails.
1. Who provides the service
MacroDash is a nutrition and training tracking application provided by Jesús Márquez Gallardo (individual). Contact: soporte@macrodash.es.
2. Minimum age
You must be at least 16 years old to use MacroDash and create an account.
3. Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and for keeping your password confidential. Let us know if you detect unauthorised use of your account.
4. Permitted use
You may use MacroDash for your personal tracking. You may not use the app unlawfully, attempt to access other people’s data, interfere with its operation or extract its content in bulk.
5. Health notice (important)
MacroDash is a tracking and calculation tool, not a medical service or professional nutritional advice. The estimates (basal metabolic rate, energy expenditure, calories burned, targets) are approximations based on formulas and on the data you enter, and may not fit your case. They do not replace the judgement of a doctor, dietitian-nutritionist or other professional. Always consult a professional before changing your diet or your training, especially if you have any health condition. MacroDash does not diagnose, treat or prevent any disease.
6. AI chat
MacroDash includes an optional chat with an assistant based on a third-party artificial intelligence model. By using it you accept the following:
- The responses are generated by a statistical model and may contain errors, inaccuracies or outdated information. You must verify them before acting on them.
- The assistant does not replace professional medical, nutritional or training advice. The health notice in section 5 applies with the same scope to everything the chat tells you.
- You must not use the chat for unlawful purposes, to attempt to extract its instructions, to manipulate it, to generate harmful content, to impersonate other people, or for topics outside the scope of the app (nutrition, training, hydration, supplementation, rest and healthy habits).
- There is a monthly limitof messages per user, which resets on the first calendar day of each month. We may adjust that limit or temporarily suspend the feature for operational or cost reasons, or to prevent abuse. If the change consists of reducing the quota, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email or within the app.
- We may suspend or withdraw your access to the chat if we detect misuse, without this affecting the rest of the app.
The data processing linked to the chat is described in the privacy policy.
7. Food content and data
Nutritional information comes from our own sources and from third parties, such as public databases and Open Food Facts, which may contain errors or be incomplete. Check the values whenever they matter to you.
8. Intellectual property
The app, its brand, its design and its code are the property of their owner. You are granted no rights over them beyond normal use of the app. The content you create, such as your meals, recipes, collections, workouts and the messages you send to the AI chat, remains yours. MacroDash keeps that content solely to provide you the service and to show it to you in your history.
9. Service availability
We offer the app as is and subject to availability. We may change, suspend or withdraw features, and we do not guarantee that the service will always be available or free of errors.
10. Subscription (MacroDash Pro)
Some features are offered through a paid subscription called MacroDash Pro, available in two plans:
- Pro (includes the AI chat): €6.99/month or €39.99/year.
- Pro Lite (all Pro features except the AI chat): €4.99/month or €29.99/year.
The annual plans include a 7-day free trial; if you do not cancel before it ends, the first period is charged automatically. The final price, currency and applicable taxes are shown in the app before you confirm the purchase and may vary by country and store pricing.
The amounts shown are launch prices and may change in the future. Any price change will follow the App Store and Google Play rules: the store will notify you of the change and, where those platforms require it, will ask for your consent before it affects your renewal; if you do not accept it, the subscription will not renew at the new price. The current price is always shown in the app before you confirm the purchase.
Payment is taken through your App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Android) account. The subscription is auto-renewing: it renews for another period at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel it at any time from your App Store or Google Play account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for, with no refund of the current period unless required by law. Billing, renewals and refunds are governed by the terms of the relevant store.
On iOS, use of the licensed application is governed by the end user license agreement (EULA): unless stated otherwise, the Apple standard EULA applies. The data processing linked to the subscription is described in the privacy policy.
11. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from the use of the app’s estimates, from the AI chat’s responses, or from the diet or training decisions you make based on them. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If the change is significant, we will notify you by reasonable means. Continued use of the app after the update means that you accept them.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. As a consumer, you may bring proceedings before the courts of your place of residence.
